The family sitting around eating dinner watching television most likely doesn’t converse with each other between watching and listening to the TV and stuffing their face, and yet the family enjoying a dinner lacking the interference of electronics must converse with themselves because of our need for conversation.
Something odd about those photos is that the one depicting a family watching television is a much older photo, while the one depicting a family conversing is much newer. Maybe the photos are showing that if people understand the problems that the electronic world is creating they will become proactive. Families will possibly began to share conversations around the dinner table instead of being entertained by the television.
